How do you reposition an abandoned mall-turned-office space into a venue that’s perfectly elegant for a bride on a budget?
Located in the Four Squares Business Center, Square One Venue was Rhonda Sims’ brainchild.
When planning her daughter’s wedding, Sims was frustrated by the lack of local affordable event spaces. She kept thinking about the old theater in the business complex where she worked. She knew the space – both the actual theater and the space around it – could be transformed into something magical, and she convinced her boss, developer/owner Bill Raines, to let her try.
Square One Venue was born.
We met with Sims to pinpoint the target audiences who would be the best fit for the event space, and helped her create the initial marketing strategy. Then, we designed the logo and branding package for the venue. With construction still underway, we had to get creative in showing the possibilities for the space. We staged setups for a mock wedding and a corporate meeting, and directed a professional photo shoot to capture both for a catalog of startup images.
